Smyths Daleside Limited is currently seeking to recruit 2 Production Technicians for full-time work in Ballindrait, Lifford, Co. Donegal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical operation, monitoring, adjustment, and maintenance of automated feedmill machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The role involves technical troubleshooting, machinery calibration, and preventative maintenance of production systems. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor, adjust, and control automated feedmill equipment including batching, mixing, and pelletising systems - Perform technical diagnostics and troubleshooting on production machinery -Carry out routine preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical components - Calibrate and optimise production equipment to ensure accurate formulations and product quality - Identify and resolve operational faults to minimise downtime - Maintain accurate technical records of equipment performance and maintenance - Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality control, and production standards - Work independently and as part of a production technical team Requirements: - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production technician, maintenance technician, or similar technical manufacturing role - Knowledge of industrial machinery operation and maintenance - Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues - Strong problem-solving and technical skills - Experience working with automated production systems - Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience - Understanding of manufacturing quality control processes - Ability to work on own initiative Other Details Minimum annual remuneration: €36,605 Standard working week 39 hours Please send your application to the following email address: gsrecruitmentjobs@gmail.com
