Generation Seven Food & Drink Ltd T/A John Kavanagh's Public House, Prospect Square, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, D09CF72. is looking for an experienced chef to join a small and enthusiastic team that is passionate about serving excellent food in a unique family business. Currently operated by the 7th generation of the family, the pub has a strong reputation for traditional values, high quality customer service and a unique offering of tasty and innovative food alongside its well established drinks offering.
Role Requirements: We are now looking for a highly motivated and positive addition to the kitchen team. We are looking for enthusiastic person with a passion for creating great food dishes that has a minimum of five year's culinary experience, with formal training in Culinary Arts and/or other relevant qualifications an advantage. The role involves close liaison with the Executive Head Chef in menu planning and the presentation/portioning of food to the exacting standards demanded by the business. In addition, the successful candidate will ensure optimal utilisation of food surpluses is achieved, be HACCP certified and ensure that HACCP procedures are followed at all times and that all kitchen related records are up to date and in order. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are sufficiently responsible and experienced to engage with the Executive Head Chef (EHC) and management on issues arising and will be expected to deputise for the EHC on occasions; leading, guiding and maintaining standards at all times in the kitchen. The person must have the ability to legally work in Ireland and clearly and effectively communicate in verbal & written English, be able to demonstrate that they can give clear direction and work effectively as part of a team. The person will be flexible in their working hours, adaptable to changing work requirements and be prepared to take on a variety of tasks that might be assigned to them. All kitchen staff are expected to clean stations at the end of service and work effectively together. Typical kitchen working conditions will prevail which include working in an often hot and sometimes limited kitchen space. The kitchen is usually closed on Sundays and Mondays. Job Type: Full-time. Remuneration €36,605p.a/€18.05 per hour * 40 hour week
