Assistant Dairy Manager 500 cow Herd

Assistant farm manager with progression opportunity Dairy Stride requires an assistant dairy farm manager for our 500-cow herd in Slane, Co Meath. The person will work alongside our farm manager with key roles to include milking (on a shared roster), grassland management, cashflow budgeting, animal health and husbandry. The farm is milking 500 crossbred cows developed from a green field with excellent facilities including a new 54-point rotary, 500 cubicles, calving and calf sheds. You will be involved in a forward-thinking business where you will be working in an enjoyable and learning environment with great scope for personal and business development. You will be exposed to budgeting and planning at every level. The position is most suited to someone looking for a career in dairy farming, with a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
