NEW WINTER BIRD FOOD SEED MIX FOR ACRES

For the new ACRES scheme we have designed a four way mixture that meets the exact criteria and ratios for the scheme. We have used Triticale as the cereal as usual because of its proven success and ability to stand all winter therefore not attracting as much vermin like other cereals do when they lodge. The sowing rate is 54kgs per Ha and comprises of Triticale 45kgs, Mustard 4kgs, Fodder Radish 3kgs and Phacelia 2kgs. Packed in 18kg bags (€45.00 ex Rathcormac) to sow .33Ha. This is a more economical than the Wildbird cover seed for the previous GLAS scheme and works out at only €135.00/Ha.
