Our History
Tim Crowley having learnt at an early age how machinery worked at his father's elbow from treshing machines to steam engines and dealing with the farming community he developed the skill and know how to fix, maintain and design systems mainly for the cereal farmers. He established the company in 1972 at Upper Glanmire Bridge, Cork, which was a small unit on 3 acres of land. He spent the early years going out on site doing a variety of the jobs himself, working long hours in all types of weather travelling from site to site with a caravan for accommodation. His ability to quickly resolve engineering issues made him invaluable to people in the grain and feed milling industries. Tim then gradually built up the business through hard work and total dedication to the business. Today the company employs a staff of one hundred. Crowley Engineering has previously undertaken work in Sudan, Iraq, U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and is now supplying equipment to New Zealand. Companies in Dubai are now seeking Crowley Engineering's expertise to install plants.
