New Zealand Dairy Farming Opportunity

We are seeking a Farm Hand to join our team from July 2022 to November/December 2022. We milk 900 cows farm located in the Alford Forest area for Canterbury, New Zealand. The farm is approx 15 mins from Methven Township and 20 mins from Ashburton. We are seeking a motivated, honest and reliable person with a willingness to learn, who will join our team of 4 other members. The farm is peak milking 900 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed with automatic cup removers and in shed feeding. The farm is partly irrigated with one centre pivot. The successful applicant will be expected to work in a team and independently. Key roles will be everything from helping out with a small amount of calf rearing when needed, milking, fencing, weed control and other farm tasks depending on the time of the season and level of knowledge. Key requirements • be punctual, willingness to learn and have a good attitude • be drug free and have a clean criminal record • the ability to work well within a team and or individually • a willingness to ask questions and to complete jobs to a high standard • relevant work visa This role includes shared accommodation.
