Assistant Farm Manager ( suitable for someone wanting to step up to this position)

We are an Irish run farm looking for an experienced assistant farm manager to help run our 850 cow farm in New Zealand. The farm is located in Invercargill on the South Island. The farm is extremely well set up with a 50 bale rotary, ACRs, in shed feeding, automatic drafting and collars. The ideal person will: have a minimum of 2 years dairy farming experience be confident milking cows and detecting mastitis be able to drive a tractor and feed out silage be able to work on their own initiative Want to have a progressive career in dairy farming There is a calving barn on farm so all cows are calved indoors, all cows are wintered off farm with a grazier In return we offer a very supportive environment with plenty of opportunities to learn and further your career in the dairy industry. The farm is located 10minutes from Invercargill, which is a thriving city in the bottom of the South Island, with plenty of sporting facilities, an Irish society and Irish pub, it is an extremely friendly place with lots happening. The job will start in July and you must be able to commit to a full season - start of June following year. We are also an accredited employer.
