Dairy Farm Manager

A progressive Dairy Farm in Cork requires a Farm Manager to work in conjunction with the farm owner on a secondary milking platform. Grass based spring compact calving herd, currently a 300 cow herd. Good infrastructure and modern facilities. The individual will be a self-starter with an interest in all aspects of Dairy farming as a business. The successful candidate should have: · An excellent work ethic with a strong can do attitude who will assume all aspects of running a dairy farm , Milking, Calving, Animal health, etc. · Supervisory skills and management ability. · Grassland management: Grass budgeting & Measurement skills. · Previous practical work experience on a Dairy Farm. · A structured approach to work. · Can work on own initiative and also as part of a team. · Full driving licence. This is an opportunity for a Professional Dairy Farmer to grow with this enterprise and influence its future. There will be a fair division of work within the team.
