Marketing, Website & Social Media Coordinator

The Irish Charollais Sheep Society is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and creative person to join our team in a marketing, website management and social media role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in agriculture, sheep breeding and the pedigree livestock sector, and who can help raise the profile of the Charollais breed and engage with breeders, farmers and the wider agricultural community.

The Role

We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for developing and managing the Society’s online presence and marketing activities, including:

* Managing and updating the Society’s website with relevant and engaging content.
* Creating and managing content across social media platforms.
* Developing engaging posts, graphics, videos and other digital content.
* Promoting Society events, sales, shows and activities.
* Highlighting the achievements of Irish Charollais breeders and pedigree flocks.
* Increasing awareness and engagement with the Charollais breed.
* Developing creative marketing campaigns and promotional material.
* Keeping the Society’s online content current, professional and engaging.
* Working with Society members and officials to gather news, photographs and content.
* Supporting the Society with general marketing and communications initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally:

* Have proven experience in marketing, website management and social media content creation.
* Be confident creating engaging written and visual content for digital platforms.
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Be creative, enthusiastic and proactive.
* Have a good understanding of social media and digital marketing.
* Be comfortable working independently and managing their own workload.
* Have a genuine interest in agriculture and the livestock industry.
* Ideally have knowledge or experience of pedigree sheep breeding and the agricultural sector.
* Be willing to attend selected agricultural events, shows and Society activities where required.

Agricultural experience is highly desirable, but we would also welcome applications from someone with strong marketing and digital skills who has a genuine enthusiasm for agriculture and is keen to develop their knowledge of the pedigree sheep sector.

Part-Time Opportunity

This role may suit someone looking for part-time or flexible work, and the Society is open to discussing the hours and working arrangements with the successful candidate.

This could be an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional, agricultural graduate, freelance digital marketer or someone with an agricultural background and strong digital skills who would like to work with a progressive pedigree livestock society.
