Herds Person progressing to 2IC

A fantastic position has arisen for a herdsperson/General farm worker who is looking to join our established team at Peepy Farm, Bywell, Stocksfield, Northumberland NE43 7TT UK We are milking 450 cows on a split-block calving system. We have excellent grazing infrastructure, modern buildings and machinery and our focus is on maximising milk from forage. Cows are milked twice a day through a modern rapid-exit 36 point parlour and are mainly cubicle housed through winter. A very competitive salary, great working hours and time off and regular training is offered, on farm family accommodation is available. Your role would be, but not limited to regular milking, general livestock husbandry, farm maintenance, grass measuring, calf rearing and some record keeping. The ideal candidate would have some on farm experience but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn is more important.
