Come to Dairy in New Zealand and learn grass base feeding - 40 minutes from skiing

We are situated 1.5 hours from Christchurch, in between Methven and Ashburton. We are going to peak milk 540 cows through a 36aside herrringbone. We operate a grass base system, PK and some silage. Plan start of calving is 23 July for Heifers and 1 August for cows. AI starts on the 23 October. We are looking to put together a team of 4 - Manager, 2IC and farm assistants/calf rearer. Our mooloos are average of 510kg and our target production is 450kgms per cow which we believe is conservative. We have three newly installed pivots and a few kline and 4 gun runs. There is 154ha of flat land. We have 5ha of fodderbeet for autumn feeding and 8ha of turnips that are fed from January to March as there is 36ha of dryland. Supportive owners live on farm and there is three houses available - 4bdrm, 3bdrm and 1bdrm. We are Greentree Farms Limited - Willows. Cows are wintered 4km down the road on fodderbeet and kale. There are great skifields close, biking and walking tracks.
