We are recruiting for a qualified, experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

Slaney Farms Produce Ltd. in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford is an established brand name for horticulture products with a reputation as a supplier of high-quality potatoes and fresh fruit selling to wholesalers, retail multiples and convenience stores around the country. Stafford Spirits Ltd. has diversified into spirits production using the potatoes from the Stafford Farm and now produces the premium Jackford Irish Potato Gin and the recently launched Jackford Irish Strawberry Gin. We are recruiting for a qualified, experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal applicant will be a friendly, enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude. The role is office based at Slaney Farms which is located outside Enniscorthy town. This is a permanent full-time position, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Salary / Remuneration Package: DOE Main duties  Oversee the full finance function for both Slaney Farms & Stafford Spirits  Manage a team of two administration staff  Processing of weekly & monthly payroll  Responsible for HR matters within the Company  Year end accounts preparation and control account reconciliations  Filing Revenue returns – VAT, PAYE, Diesel Rebate Scheme, CT payments etc.  Overall responsibility for transport obligations within RSA rules  Origin Green plan review and assisting in implementation of initiatives  Grant applications for both Slaney Farms & Stafford Spirits  Liaise with bank and solicitor on matters pertaining to the Company  Stock management for Stafford Spirits Limited  Ongoing development and review of accounting systems, controls & processes  Assist on projects as required  Ad hoc duties Key requirements  Accounting qualification required  Highly proficient in Sage 50 Accounts & MS Office  Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role is essential  Excellent organisational skills including prioritisation and time management  Good commercial awareness and business acumen  Must be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team  Strong communicator with excellent listening and interpersonal skills (fluent English required)
