We are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager/2IC to join our team; a person who is passionate about cows and farming like us. Someone who will assist the Farm Manager & take responsibility for specific aspects of the farm management. *** Permanent, full-time Assistant Farm Manager /2IC *** Excellent facilities including 60-point rotary, auto-drafter, cubicles, group calving shed & exceptional grazing infrastructure:185 ha in one block. We run a spring-calving, grass-based system. Recent dairy conversion (2017). High-EBI crossbred cows. 5 min drive from Kilkenny city // The successful candidate will 1. Be an excellent stockperson - he/she will be experienced in all aspects of animal health (e.g. identification and treatment of mastitis), calving, breeding and milk quality; 2. Be comfortable calving cows & capable of supervising calving; 3. Assist the farm manager in overall management of dairy operation; 4. Implement the grazing plan; 5.
