Dairy Farm Assistant

Gravelstown Dairy Farm Limited is seeking a farm assistant for its modern dairy farm outside Kells Co Meath. The farm is a 190-acre family run dairy farm, consisting of a 150 dairy cow herd, which is split between both Spring calving (80%) and Autumn calving (20%). The farm boasts excellent facilities and modern infrastructure. The facilities on site consist of two Lely Astronaut A5’s, multiple slatted sheds (fitted with automatic scrapers), calf sheds ‐ the heifer calf shed fitted with a Lely calf feeder, and a number of other storage and hay sheds. The company has a progressive attitude towards farming in the 21st century and is looking for someone with a strong interest in farming and a can do attitude to join our team. The role offers a competitive salary and excellent working conditions including regular rostered time off and holidays. Typical duties to include, drafting cows for milking, calf rearing, machinery work and general maintenance. The role is a fulltime role, however we are open to flexibility.
